Aaron Sorkin To Teach Tricks Of Screenwriting
MasterClass announced yesterday that Aaron Sorkin would be mentoring the students enrolled in their online screenwriting course this summer. The Oscar-nominated wordsmith has signed up to deliver screenwriting lessons for online-education startup MasterClass.com. He will deliver more than 25 video lessons to aspiring screenwriters. Fans and screenwriting hopefuls can currently pre-enrol for the $90 (£61) class.
“There’s a great tradition of writers from one generation giving a hand to the next group coming up—a tradition I got a lot of benefit from,” Sorkin said of the class. “I think new screenwriters will come away from the MasterClass with a new sense of confidence.”
Sorkin is also known for writing A Few Good Men, Steve Jobs, The Newsroom and is currently adapting To Kill A Mockingbird for Broadway. Sorkin isn't the only star sharing lessons on the website - Christina Aguilera recently hosted a singing masterclass, while Kevin Spacey and Dustin Hoffman both gave insider tips for actors.
