U/A Certificate Granted To 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan'
Central Board of Film and Certification has done something new and positive taking a shift from its earlier approaches. Surprisingly, the board has given U/A certificate to the Ayushman Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan'. Since last few years, CBFC had been cutting scenes from the movies which labelled the authority as derogatory.
More interestingly, neither any scene has been cut nor has any dialogue been muted despite the issue which is mostly talked inside the four walls only. The flick will reach the audience in its original form which, we hope, will make the audience laugh and realize the core problem on this issue. The film has been directed by R S Prasanna, which revolves around performance anxiety in men.
Producer Aanandd L Rai has praised the CBFC's ability to look at the film in context and for giving certification accordingly. He said, “I think the society, in general, has become more liberal and progressive when it comes to the subjects and issues depicted in the movies. The current generation has a progressive outlook towards issues they face and communicate the same with each other.” The movie, produced by Eros International and Colour Yellow Productions, is set to release on September 1.
