Here's What All Shahid Kapoor Did To Transform His Physique For SLB's Padmavati!

The year 2017 can prove to be a game changer for the super talented actor Shahid Kapoor with two of his big movies releasing this year. While he has already shot for Rangoon which is all set to hit the theatres on February 24 this year, he is currently occupied by one of mega project Padmavati. Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film will be his first collaboration with the award winning director.
For the uninitiated, Shahid plays the role of Raja Ratan Singh in Padmavati, whereas, actress Deepika Padukone will be seen playing the role of Queen Padmavati and the wife of Raja Ratan Singh. To get into the shape of the character, the Jab We Met actor has transformed his body to look like a ruler and warrior. The actor even opted for a complete boot camp regime, under the guidance of trainer Samir Jaura, to work on his physique.
As per a source, "Shahid has always put in effort in the various looks he has essayed on screen through the course of his career and his look in Padmavati is something audiences have never seen before. The star has been shooting in a 14-hour shift and yet makes the time to work out for 2 hours every day. That and a strict diet of 50 gms slow release carbs and protein is part of the gruelling regime to tone and define his physique. He even went without sugar and salt for 15 days".
Well, this is indeed laudable. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on November 17.
