Subhash Ghai to return to direction with Kaanchi

After a sabbatical of around four years, Bollywood’s showman Subhash Ghai is returning to the silver screen with a musical thriller,Kaanchi, according to sources. The film is all set to go on floors soon and is expected to be released in August 15, 2013. While the director has finalized veteran actor Rishi Kapoor in the main protagonist’s role, other cast and credits are in the process of being shortlisted. Sources said that noted composer Ismail Darbar and Salim-Suleiman have already recorded two songs for the movie. The last film of Ghai's production banner Mukta Arts, that will celebrate its 34th anniversary October 24, was 2008 releaseYuvvraaj.
