Sanjay Leela Bhansali To Direct Salman Khan In Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’?
Ever since ‘Shuddhi’ has been announced, the movie has been making headlines mainly because of its confirmations, delays and others. Names of several actors such as Hrithik-Kareena, Varun-Alia and Salman Khan have been associated with the flick. ‘Shuddhi’ is based on Amish Tripathi’s bestselling novel, The Immortals Of Meluha.
Initially, it was Kareena and Hrithik who were approached as the leads for the movie, however both of them opted out. Later in 2014, Karan Johar took to Twitter and announced of making the film with Salman Khan as the lead. He tweeted, “#SHHUDDHI will star SALMAN KHAN and will release Diwali 2016…..@shhuddhimovie.”
Karan Johar directing Salman Khan became a talking point. The film was then supposed to be directed by Karan Malhotra. However, the film was again shelved as Salman announced that he would not play the titular role.
After Salman refused to play the titular role, it was announced that Varun Dhawan will play the role with Alia Bhatt as his leading lady. Moreover, Varun even said that Alia has started training for the flick. However, again the news surfaced that the film has been shelved.
And now the movie is again in news. We have heard that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has acquired the rights of Amish Tripathi’s novel. Salman agreed to do the movie only of Bhansali directs it. Now let’s see who Bhansali approaches to do the movie. We hope for the film to see the light of the day soon.
