Sad News! Bollywood Veteran Actress Shammi Passes Away

A sad news! Bollywood veteran actress Shammi is no more with us. The actress was popularly called ‘Shammi aunty’ by the Bollywood fraternity. She has passed away at the age of 89.

The late actress had delivered over two hundred movies in her Bollywood career spanning to a staggering 64 years. The actress made her acting debut with movie Ustad Pedro at the age of 18 in the year 1949. Her first movie as a solo heroine was Malhar, which was released in 1951. The late actress shot to limelight with the 1952 movie Sangdil, which also starred Dilip Kumar .

The late actress majorly portrayed the roles of a modern woman in her movies. She was married to film producer-director Sultan Ahmed for seven years before they got divorced. The actress was last seen in the 2013 movie Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi.
