Richa Chadda Get's picky
Richa Chadda is on the lookout for interesting roles, but she says she won’t portray any character that may promote disharmony in any sense. “I don’t want to take up anything that promotes disharmony in terms of caste, colour or religion. This is not something that I am attracted to, and I won’t take up such parts,” says Richa.
However, she adds that she may make an exception in a few cases. Saying, “Of course, if it is a drama with a huge cast, I can think about it, or if the story is strong and justifies my character well.”
The actor is also clear that she will not do roles that require her to shed her clothes. “I feel it’s important for actors to sign a clause regarding nudity. Personally, I don’t feel ready for it at this point,” says Richa, who is gearing up to attend the Cannes
Film Festival next week. Thrilled about her film being screened in the Un Certain Regard section, she adds, “It’s very rare for a film to get selected in this category. I’m thrilled to represent my country.”
