Priyanka Chopra Becomes First South-Asian Actress To Win People's Choice Awards

Steadily Priyanka Chopra moved to Hollywood after having established herself in Bollywood and the actress is shining like a bright star in America as well. The diva of Bollywood has been awarded with People's Choice Awards for favourite actress and the former Miss World can’t stop thanking the audiences for it. Indeed, 2016 began with a bang for Priyanka Chopra, who has become the first south Asian actress to win the People Choice’s Awards.

The 33-year-old actress, who essays the role of an FBI agent named Alex Parish in the American TV thriller series Quantico, was competing against actresses like Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Jamie Lee Curtis and Marcia Gay Harden in the category. She was presented the award by John Stamos. Excited Priyanka had uploaded several pictures on social media before the show, one of which was with Stamos backstage.

The actress who is receiving great applauds for her performance in Bajirao Mastani in India, looked stunning donning a gold and silver gown designed by Vera Wang at the award function. Her makeup was done by Stephanie Barnes. We wish Priyanka bags many more awards in the year ahead.
