Neeraj Pandey Hand-Picked 110 Characters For M.S. Dhoni’s Biopic

Casting for multi-starrer films is quite a task for filmmakers. In M.S. Dhoni’s biopic, the task for director Neeraj Pandey was even tougher as M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story has 110 characters of equal importance. Reportedly, the director handpicked each character with precision.

Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying, “Since it is a biopic based on one of the world’s most popular cricketers, audiences are familiar with the faces around him — his team members, the coach, commentators, and his immediate family. So, it is important that these characters bear some resemblance to the people in Dhoni’s life”. When HT contacted the makers of the film, a spokesperson said, “Preparations for the movie are on in full swing. Neeraj doesn’t compromise on any aspect when he makes a film”.

M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story stars Sushant Singh Rajput as MS Dhoni, John Abraham as Yuvraj Singh, Fugly fame Kiara Advani as Sakshi Singh Dhoni, Fawad Khan as Virat Kohli, Ram Charan Teja as Suresh Raina, Shreyas Talpade as Rohit Sharma and Kader Khan as Greg Chappell. The shooting of the film is soon expected to begin. The biopic was slated to release by the year end but because of the delay in shooting, the flick is expected to hit the theatres next year.
