‘It Is An Unusual Friendship’ With Rajkumar Hirani: Vidhu Vinod Chopra

Vidhu Vinod Chopra is of the most reputed filmmakers of Bollywood who claims to have very few friends in the industry. He says that he doesn’t believe in “filmi friendship”, which is based on fake emotions and praises. The producer-director who has given biggest of hits with Rajkumar Hirani, such as PK, 3 Idiots and Munna Bhai series amongst others, says that he shares an unusual bond with him.

“Raju Hirani and I are also very different from each other. He is like Mahatma Gandhi and I am Subhash Chandra Bose. It is an unusual friendship”, he told PTI.

The 63-year-old filmmaker further said, “I am tough. I think everybody is just nice. I think my demands of friendship are very high. I don’t believe in filmi friendship” and added, “If a film is hit people come saying good things. These are strange people. I am not a fake person. I am happy with friends that I have in my life”. Vidhu Vinod Chopra is looking forward to the release of his upcoming production Wazir, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar and Aditi Rao Hydari, on January 7.
