If I Meet Her I Will Definitely Apologise: Emraan Hashmi on Aishwarya Rai 'Rift'

Emraan Hashmi is nowadays making headlines for his upcoming movie Baadshaho. Well, it is not confirmed that who will play the leading lady in the movie. Rumours were rife that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the first actress to be approached for the role but she declined the offer apparently because of the comment that Hashmi made on her two years back.

The Raaz actor called the actress ‘plastic’ on the Koffee with Karan chat show two years ago. If reports are to be believed, the actress turned down the offer as most of her scenes were with Hashmi. On the issue, the Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai actor told Firstpost, "I don’t know who was approached for the role of the leading lady but it’s like going back into history... that (the remark on Koffee With Karan) was two years ago. The statement was made in jest and it’s all for the hamper [laughs]. I am a big fan of Aishwarya Rai and if I meet her I will definitely apologise because there was nothing personal (to it)”.

The actor’s recent films are not doing quite well at the box office. However, he is sure that the upcoming project will be a bigger hit than his earlier blockbuster Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai. Baadshaho is a Milan Luhtria directorial.
