I Play An Action Star Of The 1940s In Rangoon: Kangana

Kangana Ranaut who has been in the news for spilling the beans on Hrithik and her past relationship will be next seen in Vishal Bhardwaj directorial Rangoon. The actress reported that she will be playing an extremely fierce and fiery role in the film. Julia, her character in Rangoon is also a great dancer and a great action star.

The 28-year-old actress who was present at the unveiling of the Sephora store on Saturday said that, “In Rangoon, I play an action star of the 1940s. And Julia is a woman who is very fierce, very fiery, she's a great dancer and a great action star”. Kangana has learned horse riding for the film and confessed that preparations for the film had left her physically exhausted.

Kangana also confirmed that it was her look which garnered her the role of Julia and not her style. She will be sporting short and straight hair. The Tanu Weds Manu Returns actress was reported as saying, “For the film, I have this look.. it's not styled like that. It's more vintagy, more wavy which you'll get to see in the film”.

According to reports, Rangoon is set along the lines of Hollywood classic Casablanca and is set during the World War II period. The movie also stars actors Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead. While actor Shahid plays a soldier, Saif will be seen in the role of a filmmaker.
