Fox Star Studios Says Fawad Khan Was Never A Part Of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story

Ever since the release of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, reports have been flowing in stating that Fawad Khan was also part of the project. He was supposedly present in the film, playing the role of Virat Kohli, according to sources. Since the movie did not have any scene with Fawad, reports suggested that his part was cut out at the last moment because of the flak against Pakistani actors.

Now, a spokesman for Fox Star Studios has given a statement that completely negates these claims. He said that Fawad was never a part of the project. He added that the Pakistani actor wasn’t even in the consideration set when they were casting for the project. “Dhoni is an extremely realistic biopic and we have been true to that even in our casting”, said the spokesperson.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story stars Sushant Singh Rajput and has been doing quite well at the box office. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the cast also includes Kiara Advani, Anupam Kher, Bhumika Chawla and Disha Patani. It tells the origin story of Indian cricketer MS Dhoni and the struggles he had to face throughout his journey.
