Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin Re-make: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt to Play Leads

When Pooja Bhatt was asked about Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin’s remake, she said she would love to see Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor doing the roles. Now, the rumours are rife that the duo, who is already doing Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming superhero flick together, has been roped in for the remake of Mahesh Bhatt's directorial. Earlier, rumour mills were abuzz that the makers are looking forward to cast Emraan Hashmi and Alia.

It is said that the two stars have been approached for the roles. But nothing is confirmed as of now. However, the audiences are excited to watch the Rockstar and Highway actress together in the classic love story.

The film boosted Pooja Bhatt’s career as an actor and now her younger sister might reprise her role in the film’s sequel. If the rumours go true, Alia will be seen playing the spoilt daughter of business tycoon (played by Pooja Bhatt in the original) while Ranbir will play the role of a reporter (played by Aamir Khan). The original film, which released in 1991, was loosely based on Hollywood flick, It Happened One Night.
