Delnaaz strikes a silver jubilee

Actor Delnaaz Irani, who completes 25 years in the film industry, is more than grateful for the journey which she has enjoyed over the years. The actor recalls how she started acting purely as a hobby and ended up becoming a household name. “I joined theatre as a pastime and gradually ended up in movies and daily soaps. I am lucky to get paid for pursuing my hobby,” says Delnaaz, who has made a name for herself in films, television as well as theatre.

While she has been a part of many films, the one closest to her heart is Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), where she played Jaspreet Kapoor, actor Priety Zinta’s friend. “Kal Ho Naa Ho was the film where I landed a perfect role. It changed me a lot as an actor. It won me a lot of appreciation. Having said that, every role is close to my heart. The industry has given me a lot and I am very happy with my journey so far,” she says.
