Case Filed Against Sonakshi Sinha For Cheating, Court Puts Stay For Arrest!

Sonakshi Sinha could have landed in jail, but for the time being, a stay has been put on her arrest.

An FIR was lodged against Sonakshi and four others at Katghar police station, Moradabad, on February 22, 2019 for allegedly taking an amount of 37 lakhs to appear in an event in September 2018 in New Delhi. But she later did not turn up, because of which the complainant suffered huge loss.

While it was being speculated that Sonakshi might be arrested for this, she and her lawyer had submitted a writ petition. Therefore, until the investigation is complete, Sonakshi cannot be arrested. The stay order has been given by Allahabad Court.

Earlier too, such cases had come up against Bipasha Basu. There are also a number of celebrities like Rajpal Yadav who has been arrested for cases of cheating!
