Arjuna Harjai Talks About His Musical Journey
Deepak Tijori directorial ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ had a song by young composer Arjuna Harjai titled ‘Ankhiyaan’. The song has won the hearts of many listeners and has been trending for quite some time now. Recently, Arjuna spoke about his musical journey and his early influences.
“My journey as a musician began very early. I started learning from my parents Madhusudan Harjai and Lakshmi Madhusudan at the age of two and a half. I got great exposure since childhood as my mother was a renowned artistr on the Delhi recording circuit”, Arjuna shared. He added that he used to accompany his mom to her recording and sit quietly, observing the sound engineers and the recording process.
At the age of 8, Arjuna started studying western classical piano from Delhi School of Music. He shared that he was influenced by Claude Debussy and Toru Takemitsu. Madan Mohan and AR Rehman were his inspirations in India.
