Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty Bringing Back Golmaal Franchise?
Dilwale director Rohit Shetty is reportedly making plans to bring his ‘Golmaal’ franchise back with Ajay Devgn. The duo has worked together on several projects including the ‘Singham’ series, ‘Zameen’ and ‘All the Best: Fun Begins’. After his last film, ‘Dilwale’, the filmmaker allegedly had a tiff with his star Shah Rukh Khan which might have ignited the idea of reuniting with Ajay Devgn.
The first ‘Golmaal’ came out in 2006 and was a huge hit. It starred Ajay, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi as the four goofy lead actors. Tusshar’s mute character gained a lot of appreciation from the fans. ‘Golmaal Returns’ came out in 2008 and once again garnered the desired appreciation from moviegoers.
The movie also introduced Kareena Kapoor Khan to the franchise. In 2010, the team came together once again for ‘Golmaal 3’ which was followed by last year’s ‘Golmaal 4’. With the success of all the films in the franchise, Rohit Shetty seems to deliver just what the audience wants. What do you think about the addition of another film in the ‘Golmaal’ pool?
