After Bhojpuri in PK, Aamir brushes up to speak fluent Haryanvi for Dangal
Aamir doesn’t take long to switch shoes for a character he wants to get into. You may have seen him speaking nothing but Bhojpuri throughout the runtime of PK, Mr. Perfectionist would now be seen getting into the skin of a Haryanvi.

As he plays a wrestler in his next film Dangal, the actor has started preparing for the role in full swing. At the DVD launch event of PK, he revealed how he is taking up Haryanvi lessons to fit in the character he plays. He also revealed that he has turned fully vegetarian for the role and is currently weighing 90 kgs. “When I was shooting for PK, I weighed 68 kilos with 9 percent body fat, I now weigh 90 kgs. I have become totally vegetarian for this role and even eggs are a strict no no. I am also learning the Haryanvi language for the role,” he said.
Dangal will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is reportedly based on the life wrestler Mahavir Phogat, the father of wrestler daughters Geeta and Babita. The film will go on the floors in three months time and the casting is currently underway.
