Aamir Khan lauds Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Bill
New Delhi Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is elated that the Parliament has passed a bill to protect children below the age of 18 from sexual offences. The 47-year-old actor called for the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Bill to be quickly approved after highlighting the issue in the second episode of his show Satyamev Jayate. "Hey guys, great news! The Lok Sabha has passed the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Bill today!!! Unbelievable!!! Super News!," Aamir posted on Facebook. The bill, which was passed after Aamir wrote a letter to the government, states that special courts will be set up to tackle such cases and offenders will be given strict punishment.
