Three Students With Pirated Copies Of ‘Rudhramadevi’ Caught
Updated : April 06, 2016 11:01 AM IST Piracy is the biggest bane for the filmmakers. Though many actions have been taken to ban piracy but the industry has failed to stop the act. The latest we hear is that some people were caught with the pirated copies of Anushka Shetty starrer ‘Rudhramadevi’.
According to the reports, three students residing at R.C. Puram in Hyderabad were caught by the cyber crime police for selling pirated copies of the Gunasekhar directorial. It was known that the pirated copies of the historical film were being sold, cyber crime police reacted quickly and caught the people involved in it. Gunasekhar, the director and producer of the film, had gone insolvent while making his dream project and the piracy was causing more trouble to the director.
Reportedly, the students started this business for pocket money. They purchased two websites and uploaded their pirated copies on the website and earned through the advertisements. Till now they had earned $1700 only through ‘Rudhramadevi’.
