Rana To Give Financial Assistance For Family Museum
Updated : June 24, 2016 10:00 AM ISTMuscleman Rana Daggubati is flexing his acting prowess as he shoots for Baahubali 2, however, the actor had taken out sometime for playing his part to keep his family legacy alive. As per the recent development, the actor is spending quality time devoting to the betterment of ‘Museum of Cinema’ (family owned). The structure was opened on his grandfather D. Ramanaidu's 79th birth anniversary in Vizag.
"This is something that we've wanted to put together for a long time. My grandfather's initial idea was to create an archive of every film. But it is sad to know that most of the old cameras or the classic equipment that we used to own have either been sold off, or are broken”, said Rana.
He further added that maintenance of the museum will cost money and thus he will be make regular monetary contribution. The management will start off with the restoration work, where the team will try to restore old negatives. Rana shared that he has great taste for classic movies and has grown up watching them, therefore, he would do all he can to keep the museum in good shape with aim to celebrate old cinema.
