Guru To Hit Theatres On Republic Day
Updated : November 22, 2016 11:25 AM ISTVenkatesh’s next, Guru, has a release date. The Telugu remake of Irudhi Suttru will be released on Republic Day. The filmmakers made a smart decision as many movies are already competing for the Sankranti festival.
It is said that the movie is in its closure stage, with few shooting days left. The last leg of filming will be done in Chennai. Afterwards, the team will pace through the post production work. “The film is almost complete and they will now start the post-production work. They want to take their own time,” said a source close to the unit.
The project is helmed by Kongara Sudha, who directed both Tamil and Hindi versions. The lead role in the original flick was played by Madhavan and was lauded for his acting skills, however, one may have to look out for Venkat as well, who has bulked up for the role. Ritika Singh will be essaying her original character, who impressed many with her agility in the movie.
