Updated : October 24, 2017 03:25 PM IST Saamy directed by Hari has set a standard for itself when it comes to cop films. After Saamy, many filmmakers came up with a similar story, but only few could succeed. Saamy released in 2003 and after 13 years the director announced of its sequel Saamy 2.
It was announced that Vikram would be playing the male lead, while Trisha and Keerthy Suresh would be playing the female leads opposite him. However, in a surprise development Trisha took to Twitter to announce that she is no longer a part of the film. She cited creative differences for walking out of the project.
She tweeted, “Due to creative differences,I have chosen to opt out of Saamy 2 . Wishing the team goodluck.” (sic) When asked from Trisha’s mother, Uma Krishnan, the reason for Trisha leaving the project, she said, “I can’t talk more about the reason why she backed out of the project. There was a difference of opinion. She has not shot any of her portions for the film.”
Earlier, it was reported that Trisha’s scenes would be featured in the flashback. It was also said Keerthy Suresh has more scenes than Trisha.
