Rajini-Latha celebrate 34 years of togetherness

Marriages are indeed made in heaven. Kolly-superstar Rajinikanth tied the knot with Latha Rangachari exactly 34 years ago. The much-in-love duo has been celebrating their years of togetherness since then and the couple seem to get lovelier with each passing year.

It was on the sets of Thillu Mullu that Rajinikanth met his ladylove. Interestingly, Latha was a student of Ethiraj College for Women and went to interview him for the college magazine.  “I somehow felt very comfortable with him, it didn’t feel like I was meeting a film star. It was as if I had known him for a long time,” Latha talked about her first meeting with the superstar, which soon blossomed into mutual affection.

Rajinikanth and Latha Rangachari eventually got married on 26 February 1981. They were soon blessed with two daughters and named them Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth. While, Aishwarya married actor Dhanush on 18 November 2004, his younger daughter, Soundarya married industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar on 3 September 2010.
