Poorna to bang Kollywood cinemas with four flicks

Shamna Kasim aka Poorna has projects flooding on her. The24-year-old is waiting for the release of 4 Tamil venturesi.e. Arjunan Kadhali, Thagaraaru, Jannal Oram and Padam Pesum and has countless hopes from them,"In Jannal Oram, I reprise the role played by Ann Augustine in the original. Unlike theother characters that I have played so far, this role gave me a lot of scope for performance."

All these flicks will show Poorna in the lead role. Jannal Oram, a comedy drama by director KaruPazhaniappan is a remake of Malayalam picture titled Ordinary.Ganesh Vinayak’s Thagaraaru will show case the actress in a never before seen role and Raghava’s crime thriller will be the first film where the actress will be pairing up with Sakthi Vasu. The actress is roped in for 2 more Telugu projects Trinadha Rao Nakkina’s Nuvvala Nenila and another is an untitled by Ravi Babu. Poorna describes her role in Nuvvala Nenila, "I play a software engineer in this romantic movie. It's bubbly and fun character."

The actress concluded her statement saying, "After the success ofAvanu, in which I played the role of a newly-wed girl stalked by a ghost, Ravi Babu approached me for a second project, which is apparently a big budget movie. There will be four main characters — a hero, a small kid, the kid's mother and a young girl. I play the young girl, while the male lead is essayed by Allari Naresh. I cannot reveal more about my role. All I can say is that, Naresh will be seen in a new avatar in the film." Time only will unfold her hard work, let’s hope for the best.
