Mani Ratnam: 'Kaatru Veliyidai' Is A Love Story

Mani Ratnam’s forthcoming entertainer 'Kaatru Veliyidai' is all set to hit the theatre on April 7, 2017. Starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles, the film is a story dealing with human relationships. Sources have divulged the film will show a love relationship between a pilot and a doctor.

'Kaatru Veliyidai' is produced by Madras Talkies banner and ace music composer A. R. Rahman has scored the music for the flick. The film will also feature RJ Balaji, Delhi Ganesh, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Shraddha Srinath, Vipin Sharma and K. P. A. C. Lalitha in pivotal roles. Some reports suggest that the forthcoming entertainer will have a terrorism angle as film ‘Roja’ had.

Although 'Kaatru Veliyidai' is being made in Tamil, but the film will also be dubbed and released in Telugu language. "Azhagiye" song from the film is already Kollywood’s one of the favourite songs. Another song of the film, "Vaan" is scheduled to be released on 14th February 2017.
