Rubina Dilaik Confims Exit From Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, Says ‘I Am Passing On The Baton’

The moment Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki had hit our TV screens, it had become an instant hit. Whether the portrayal of an eunuch was right or wrong was much debated, there is no doubt that it is for the first time that Indian TV took this bold step. In fact, Rubina Dilaik’s performance was the heart of the show and she has received praises for her portrayal of a transgender. But now, we have a sad news for all Rubina Dilaik fans. The actress is bidding goodbye to the show.

Talking to Spotboye, the actress has confirmed that she will soon make an exit after the leap in the show. She said, “I am not continuing post leap, I have no idea about the continuation of the character though. I am passing on the baton to the new generation and from there on-wards they will continue the legacy.”

The rumours of her leaving the show has started doing the rounds a few months back, but Rubina had gone on record to say that it was untrue. Talking to the same portal, she had said, “I really love my show and my character. And I am not thinking of leaving, quitting or bidding an adieu to the show because my heart and soul lies here. So, anything of that sort whatever comes up, definitely everybody would know it. But, as of now I am really enjoying what I am doing."

Sources have claimed that Rubina was okay playing a mother, but the makers decided to end her track. Post the leap, Thapki fame Jigyasa Singh and Simba Nagpal will play the lead.
