Mariam Khan Actress Sheena Bajaj Was On Bed Rest For Seven Months, Reveals She Hasn't Received Payment Of Over 2 Lakhs

It has been quite some time since we have seen Mariam Khan: reporting Live actress Sheena Bajaj on-screen. Soon after the show went off air, Sheena married actor Rohit Purohit and was not seen on-screen anymore. But, she isn't taking a break! In a recent interview, she has revealed that she was on bed rest for over seven months after surgery and is now walking only with the help of a crutch.

Talking to ETimes, Sheena said, "I underwent anal fistula surgery. I was on bed rest for the past seven months and only recently, I have started walking with the help of crutches. So this is also the reason why I couldn't take up any project. Now I am recovering and hopefully within a week or so I will be able to walk without any support. Usually, it takes around a year and a half for people to recover fully. But I am thankful to my mother and husband who have been taking care of me and without them, it wouldn't have been possible for me to recover so fast."

She revealed that she had been offered a few shows after her recovery but before these could materialise, the pandemic struck and she is scared to step out during such times. She also revealed that she hasn't received payment from the makers of her last show and said, "A lot of TV actors are having a hard time financially because of no work and projects being put on hold because of the pandemic. Many are still waiting for their dues to get cleared from the past shows they have been part of. Even I haven't got my payment of around 2 lakhs from the producers of my last show. This is very demotivating. The last few months have been really hard on actors. I hope CINTAA takes notice of this and find a solution."
