Shubharambh’s Raja Aka Akshit Sukhija Tests Positive For Coronavirus; Entire Cast And Crew To Get Tested

Back in March, shooting of upcoming films and TV show episodes came to an abrupt halt when a lockdown was declared to help stop the spread of novel coronavirus. Well in the last few months the nation began unlocking again and many actors resumed shoot, since all precautionary measures were being taken on set. One such show which returned to TV was Shubharambh, featuring Raja and Rani aka Akshit Sukhija and Mahima Makwana.

Well according to the latest report shared by TOI, Akshit tested positive for COVID-19 today. He was showing a few symptoms and decided to take the test. A source was quoted saying, “We are getting the entire cast and crew that was present on the set with him to test for coronavirus. In the meantime, the creative team is working out the story to accommodate his absence. Fortunately, we have a few episodes in the bank, so the story won’t be compromised.”

Many actors have tested positive in the last few months after they resumed shooting and returned to the sets. For instance, the shoot of Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay came to an abrupt halt when Parth Samthaan, who played the role of Anurag Basu, announced that he tested positive for coronavirus. Just this morning Bigg Boss 13 contestant Himanshi Khurana also revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19.
