The Intern: Amitabh Bachchan Replaces Rishi Kapoor, Deepika Padukone Welcomes One Of Her Most Favourite Co-Star; See Post

It has been almost a year since Rishi Kapoor left us and went for his heavenly abode. While his loss has been something that the entire industry is still mourning, the show must still go on. He was supposed to shoot the remake of The Intern alongside Deepika Padukone, and audiences had been thinking who would step into his shoes now after his demise. Reports suggested that Amitabh Bach\chan has been approached. Now, official news is out.

The poster of the remake has been shared by none other than leading lady Deepika Padukone. In the yellow poster, we see two people walking across. The leads have been mentioned and it is Amitabh Bachchan indeed alongside Deepika. Introducing the poster, Deepika wrote, "What an absolute honour to be collaborating with one of my most special co-star again!? Welcoming @amitabhbachchan to the Indian adaptation of #TheIntern." Well, it would surely be a treat to watch Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan together after Piku. Apart from this one, Deepika will be seen in Shakun Batra's next, SRK starrer Pathan, Nag Ashwin's next opposite Prabhas and Siddharth Anand's Fighter alongside Hrithik Roshan. Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand, will be seen in Jhund, Brahmastra, Mayday and Chehre.
