Taapsee Pannu says boyfriend Mathias Boe still doesn't understand Hindi films: 'He cannot connect with the emotional'

Taapsee Pannu is expanding her horizons with every new film she takes on and her talent never ceases to amaze fans. The actress, however, recently admitted that despite having watched all her films her boyfriend Mathias Boe isn’t able to connect to the emotions that her films serve.

The actress who has earned a name for herself for her unconventional movie choices and meaningful cinema tells Hindustan Times that while her mother is her cheerleader, her Danish boyfriend has a hard time connecting with the emotions she displays onscreen.

"My mom is that hopeless a cheerleader, she loves all my films. As for my boyfriend (Mathias Boe), I don’t think he still understands any of these Hindi films. He has watched all my films, but they are too lengthy for the western world (and him). He does not understand the emotions. He has watched them all but he cannot connect with the emotional, dramatic parts. Like he saw Thappad but could not identify with the emotions as women dominate his part of the world. He can not connect with the emotions that I portray onscreen,” she told the publication.

Taapsee has been praised for her powerful performances in films like Pink, Saand Ki Aankh, Thapaad, Badla, Manmarziyaan and several others. She will be seen next headlining projects like Rashmi Rocket, Sabash Mithhu, Loop Lapeta, Dobaaraa and her debut production Blurr.
