Sidharth Malhotra calls shooting of Mission Majnu a ‘special journey’; wants audience to enjoy film on big screen

Bollywood heartthrob Sidharth Malhotra has been riding high on the success of his recently released film Shershaah. Not only did he win hearts with his portrayal of Captain Vikram Batra, but also delivered his best performance till date and left us in awe of his chemistry with Kiara Advani. Well, the actor has now completed another one of his much awaited projects-- Mission Majnu. Directed by Shantanu Bagchi, the film marks South actress and national crush Rashmika Mandanna’s Bollywood debut. The team celebrated with a wrap party at a Bandra restaurant yesterday.

In a chat with Pinkvilla, Sidharth opened up about the film and shared, “The shooting experience of Mission Majnu has been a very special journey and I am extremely excited about this collaboration with Ronnie Screwvala (co-producer).” He went on to add, “We have worked very hard to ensure an entertaining theatrical experience for the audiences with this story and the way the film looks, the performances and every other element of the film.”

While most films are taking the digital road amid the pandemic, Shershaah being one of the recent releases, Sidharth wants Mission Majnu to premiere on the silver screen. He was quoted saying, “While the film has wrapped up, we are looking forward to the theatre's opening, so that audiences can safely enjoy this film on the big screen.”

Well, watching Sidharth and Rashmika on the big screen in this much awaited spy thriller will definitely make for a wonderful cinematic experience!
