Shahid Kapoor joins hands with Ali Abbas Zafar for a thriller; will begin shoot after Raj & DK's web series

Shahid Kapoor took to his official social media handle yesterday to reveal that he was waiting on the set of his upcoming web series to be called by filmmaker Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. Along with a clip of him flaunting ink on his neck and winking at the camera, the actor further wrote that he couldn’t wait to share the frame with South superstar Vijay Sethupathi. Well, according to latest buzz, Shahid has now signed his next project which will go on floors soon after he completes his web series.

A report shared by Peeping Moon revealed that Shahid has signed his next film with Tiger Zinda Hai director Ali Abbas Zafar. A source was quoted saying, “Ali Abbas Zafar is one of the most impactful storytellers who's gauged the pulse of the mainstream Hindi audiences accurately. Shahid likes his work and always wanted to work with him, so when Ali approached the star with this specific script he immediately came on board. This is a film Ali has been planning to adapt for the Indian audiences for quite some time now.” The project is a Hindi remake of a foreign film and will be shot largely in Abu Dhabi sometime around later this year.

The source went on to add that Shahid was also looking for a project in the commercial space which would be different from ‘typical masala potboiler’ and Zafar’s script turned out to be perfect! The paperwork is done and the two are excited to work together. If things go according to plan, they will take the film on floors after Raj & DK's web series.
