Saru Maini Co-Stars With Rajkummar Rao In Her Big Hollywood Debut 5 WEDDINGS

Saru had starred in a number of music videos and albums and now it was the time for her to make her big debut in Bollywood. However, providence had something bigger and better in store for her. Yes, Saru’s trip to California and a chance meet with director Namrata Singh Gujral got her a Hollywood Crossover movie for her acting debut.

Saru Maini would soon be seen in the film ‘5 weddings’ starring Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri. She is very passionate about her singing and is in love with music, and she even loves being on camera and thus she got herself what she loves by starting her career with a Hollywood film.

Here is what she has to say about her role in the movie ‘5 weddings’ with Rajkumar Rao and Nargis Fakhri, “I used to sing at my friends sangeet ceremonies. I would change the lyrics and the tunes of Punjabi folk songs and perform on them for which I was really popular. That’s exactly what my role turned out to be in 5 weddings. I play a wedding singer in the film and all the songs have been sung by me. One of the promotional songs 'Laung Gawacha' is based on Punjabi folk music and you’ll be watching it on TV courtesy T Series.” 

So it seems she loves what she does and that is the reason why she is so successful in it. We wish her all the luck for her acting debut.
