Saif Ali Khan To Play An Idealistic Cop In Vikram Vedha; Is Worried About Being Repetitive With Grey Characters

Superstar Saif Ali Khan’s recently release web show Tandav has been making headlines since its premiere. While the show has received backlash and has been accused of hurting religious sentiments, Saif and his co-star Sunil Grover have been praised by the audience for their powerful performances. The actor has been winning hearts with his grey characters in Tandav and Tanhaji and fans are super excited to see him as Lankesh in Om Raut’s Adipurush. But he is now worried that it may become repetitive.

In a chat with Mid Day, Saif opened up about the same. He stated, “I have always enjoyed grey roles more than milky white characters. In Adipurush, I am playing the ultimate negative character. But, after a point, it gets depressing if you are constantly being wicked. I also worry about being repetitive.” The film, which also stars South superstar Prabhas, is one of the most talked about and awaited films.

Well other than Adipurush, the actor also has the remake of Vikram Vedha in his kitty and this time his character does not have shades of grey. The film is an official remake of R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi’s 2017 thriller and while Saif will be playing the good guy, makers are reportedly in talks with Hrithik Roshan for the antagonist’s role. Talking about his character, Saif revealed, “I will play an idealistic cop, so I will have to find a way to make him fun. But it will be a refreshing change to portray the good guy.” The film is expected to go on floors in mid-2021.
