RIP Irrfan: Bollywood Celebs Mourn The Actor’s Demise
Updated : April 29, 2020 04:14 PM ISTOne of the most talented and adored superstars of the Hindi film industry, Irrfan Khan breathed his last on 29th April after being admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital due to a colon infection. Since the last 2 years he had been battling a rare form of cancer and was getting treated in London. However, he returned to India last year in September after wrapping up the shoot of Angrezi Medium. An official statement was shared today which left our country heartbroken.

Soon, fans showered social media with posts expressing their grief on losing one of Indian cinema’s finest actors and sent across condolences to the family. Bollywood stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Karan Johar and Shoojit Sircar among others also took to their official handles to mourn Irrfan’s sudden demise. Most celebrities refused to believe the news, but eventually accepted and penned heartfelt posts. While Big B called his Piku co-star an incredible talent, a gracious colleague and a prolific contributor to the World of Cinema, Taapsee wrote: “You ARE the best we have.”
