Updated : February 03, 2021 01:46 PM ISTInternational pop sensation Rihanna brought renewed fervor and attention to the ongoing farmers’ protest as she posted a tweet asking why no one has been talking about it. Well, her tweet did get people talking and several Bollywood celebrities are hailing Rihanna for bringing international attention to the issue.
Actress Kangana Ranaut had quite a harsh reaction to the Umbrella singer’s tweet about the farmers’ protest where she called the protesters terrorists. Actresses like Swara Bhasker, Shruti Seth, and Richa Chadha hailed the singer for her support to the cause of the farmers who have been opposing the government’s three farm bill since last year.

The farmers’ protest has previously witnessed strong support from celebrities in Punjab while a few Bollywood actors have also been vocal in their support. Rihanna’s tweet brings things into sharper focus as far as the international outreach and coverage of these protests are concerned.
