Bollywood Celebrities Mourn Pranab Mukherjee’s Death
Updated : August 31, 2020 08:03 PM ISTIndia’s former President Mr Pranab Mukherjee breathed his last in New Delhi on the 31st August, ‘20. His son Abhijit Mukherjee took to his official Twitter handle to confirm the news. He was 84 years old. Mukherjee had tested positive for COVID-19 and had also undergone an emergency surgery for a brain-clot. However, after his surgery, he remained in a critical condition and was also put on the ventilator support.
Abhijit wrote, "With a heavy heart , this is to inform you that my father Shri #PranabMukherjee has just passed away inspite of the best efforts of Doctors of RR Hospital & prayers ,duas & prarthanas from people throughout India ! I thank all of You."

Many Bollywood celebrities took to their official social media handles to mourn the loss. While some prayed for his soul to rest in peace some recollected their meeting with the statesman.
