Parineeti Chopra Gets Slammed By Netizens
Updated : August 07, 2019 09:23 AM ISTParineeti Chopra, who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film with Siddharth Malhotra, just shot herself in the foot with her strange comment on pay parity. The issue of pay parity has been in discussion in Bollywood for a while now and actresses like Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt and even Parineeti’s own cousin, Priyanka Chopra have all been vocal about the issue.
However, in a recent interview, when asked about her opinions on the issue if pay parity, Pari sure had an unusual take on the matter. She said, “I always felt like I deserved a little bit more but I only got this much. But then we make it up with endorsements. Girls do a lot of endorsements so we kind of make it up. So that is why I never talk about it (pay parity) because the boys don’t do as many endorsements as girls. I hope I’m right. We do so many beauty commercials and hair commercials like so many brands and I think we kind of cover it up.”
Expectedly, the comment has not gone down well with the netizens who slammed her for the uninformed comment. Take a look at some of the reaction:

Directed by Prashant Singh, Jabariya Jodi is based on the concept of ‘pakadwa vivah’ or forced marriage that is still prevalent in Bihar. Siddharth Malhotra plays, Abhay Singh,a local thug who kidnap grooms and force them to marriage for the girl’s family to be able to avoid dowry, while Parineeti plays a feisty girl from the town who falls in love with Abhay Singh and tries to kidnap him and get married to him.
