Meera Chopra Says She Has 'Not Got Any Work' Because Of Cousin Priyanka Chopra, Adds It Did Have One Advantage

Priyanka Chopra has carved her way, not just in Bollywood but also in Hollywood. The global actress had been one of the most sought-after stars in the Hindi film industry when she left for the West and has been winning hearts there as well. Priyanka Chopra's cousins are also very much a part of Bollywood- from Parineeti to Meera to Mannara. While Parineeti has been more successful amongst the others, Meera is slowly but steadily working for both Bollywood and OTT. Now, she has opened up about how she never bagged any project because of Priyanka, but how being related to her has helped her.

Talking to Zoom, Meera said, "The only time when I came to Bollywood there was a buzz that Priyanka's sister is also coming but honestly I have not faced many comparisons. I have not got any work because of Priyanka. If I needed a producer, they have not cast me as I am her sister. Honestly, being related to her has not helped me in my career but it has really helped me in a way that people did take me seriously. They did not take me for granted as they knew was coming from a family who knew cinema. That is the only privilege I got. Otherwise, I had to struggle."

Meera was last seen in the Bollywood film Section 375. She was also a part of the recently released OTT show, The Tattoo Murderers.
