Karan Mehra and his family accused of assault in a fresh complaint filed by Nisha Rawal

Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal’s marital issues went public after a fight between them led to the arrest of the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor. The two have since levied several serious allegations against each other and now reports suggest that a complaint has been lodged against Karan and his family by Nisha.

According to a DNA report, the actress filed a report with the Goregaon Police in Mumbai on Friday alleging assault and willful harassment by her husband and his family. Apart from Karan, the actress has named Ajay Mehra, Bela Mehra and Kunal Mehra in her complaint. The Mumbai Police have begun investigating the matter but no arrests have been made yet.

Nisha has also alleged that Karan made a withdrawal of Rs. 1 crore from her bank account. The actress had earlier to the press that she has been a victim of domestic abuse for several years. She also claimed that her husband was having an extramarital affair and she caught him and confronted him. The couple had been planning to get a divorce but according to Karan, Nisha seeks a very amount as alimony from him.

Karan was arrested on 31 May after a fight with Nisha who was injured and called the cops. He claimed that she had smashed her head against a wall to get him arrested on fabricated charges.
