The lockdown no doubt came as big setback for the economy and personal cost for several families but none the less was a necessary measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Bollywood and TV celebrities alike have pledged their support to the cause and have been entertaining and motivating their fans from behind the closed doors of their homes.
For some of them, the lockdown also means being stranded away from family and home. As the talks of the lockdown extension do the rounds here is listing down all the stars who are missing their families and homes.
Salman Khan – The Bollywood star who is extremely close to his parents is currently stuck at his Panvel farmhouse with mother Salman Khan, nephew Nirvaan, sister Arpita Khan and her husband Ayush Sharma. In a video shared by the actor, he revealed he hasn’t seen his father for 3 weeks and they were at the farmhouse for a short visit there but are now stuck.
Jaya Bachchan – The parliamentarian was in New Delhi when PM Narendra Modi announced the lockdown and has been there since. The Bollywood actress celebrated her 72nd birthday on April 9 and both Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan expressed how they missed her and have been in touch through video calls.
Jackie Shroff – The actor is stranded not far from home between Mumbai and Pune since the lockdown has been declared. In a video he shared on social media Jackie said that while he could have easily found his way back home and be with his family in Mumbai he chooses to wait for the lockdown and abide by it till it prevails.
Sana Saeed – The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress is in Los Angeles since the lockdown was declared and lost her father on March 22, the day the country observed the Janata curfew. The actress in a chat with Hindustan Times said that she was in the U.S. for an event and on hearing the news of her father’s demise wanted to rush back home to be with her mother and sisters.
Nafisa Ali – Veteran Bollywood actress Nafisa Ali who is also a cancer survivor is fighting the nationwide lockdown in Goa and has been stranded in Morjim village. The actress shared on social media how she ran out of medicines and how there’s a dearth of necessities like food and water too. The actress was then aided by government officials with medicines.
Shehnaaz Gill – The Bigg Boss 13 contestant was a part of the reality show Mujhse Shaadi Karoge right before the lockdown was declared and has been stranded away from family with brother Shehbaz in Mumbai. According to a SpotboyE report, their father said that she stayed back for meeting on future projects and missed her flight back to Punjab.

Aditi Bhatia – The TV actress known for playing Ruhi on Yeh Hain Mohabatein was in Los Angeles since February and is now stuck there. The actress is, however, keeping fans entertained posting videos of how she is passing her time during the lockdown.
We will have to wait for PM Narendra Modi to call off the lockdown to know when these celebs will be able to get back to the safety of their homes.
