Deepika's Manager Karishma Unlikely To Show Up Before NCB
Updated : September 22, 2020 05:54 PM ISTAccording to reports, a day before, names of Deepika Padukone and her talent manager Karishma Prakash came up after Narcotics Control Bureau interrogated Jaya Saha regarding an alleged drug connection. Certain chats between Deepika Padukone and Karishma were reported, where they talked about ‘Maal’, hash, and weed.
During the day, the news was doing the rounds that Deepika’s manager Karishma is being summoned by NCB. As per a report by Pinkvilla, Karishma might not be able to appear before NCB as she has accompanied Deepika to Goa for the shoot of Shakun Batra's film.
Recently, Deepika had traveled to Goa with actor Siddhant Chaturvedi for her upcoming film with Shakun Batra that is produced by Karan Johar. The shooting of the film began this week and the Chhapak actress even shared her excitement on her Instagram handle. However, according to recent reports, Deepika's name popped up with Karishma Prakash in alleged drug nexus where the actress was seen asking her manager about 'hash' and 'maal.' in their chats.
After that, news came in NCB may call Karishma for interrogation as Jaya Saha was also asked to appear for the second time with KWAN CEO Dhruv Chitgopikar. While Jaya’s name came up in the chats related to Sushant Singh Rajput's case where she reportedly suggested Rhea Chakraborty to give CBD oil to the late actor.
Jaya was interrogated on both Monday and Tuesday, and she was called again for questioning. Meanwhile, Deepika's manager Karishma is an employee of the KWAN talent management agency where Jaya Saha works. Reports came in, that Jaya Saha apparently named Madhu Mantena Verma during questioning with the NCB and the filmmaker also might be called in for interrogation.
Apparently, the shooting of the film has already begun and it might be unlikely for her to appear before NCB after they allegedly called her for further investigation.
