However, fans were left disheartened when Abhishek chose to walk out of the film. Now, the makers seem to have found his replacement and it is none other than Arjun Kapoor.

If a report in Pinkvilla is to be believed, then Arjun has already come on board and the film is all set to go on floors by November. The portal quoted a source saying, “John and Arjun are currently shooting for Ek Villain Returns. Both of them have gelled up well on the sets. John discussed the idea of getting Arjun on board the film with his director, Jagan Shakti, who insisted on a meeting with the actor. The two met and hit the ball rolling from the word go. While John will play the role of Biju Menon from the original, Arjun steps into Prithviraj’s shoes. The prep work has begun and film goes on floors by November 2021.”
Well, John and Arjun will lock horns here as well, as they would do for Ek Villain Returns. Incidentally, Arjun Kapoor wasn't the first choice for Ek Villain Returns too and had come on board after Aditya Roy Kapur had walked out of the film.
