Updated : July 18, 2020 03:30 PM ISTYash Raj Films head honcho Aditya Chopra recorded his statement in connection to the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case today, 18th July, ‘20. The statement of the filmmaker was recorded by the Bandra police at the Versova police station.
A police spokesperson told the media, the director was in the police station for more than four hours.
Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last in his Mumbai apartment on 14th June, 20. Since then, there has been an upheaval of sorts on social media with netizens constantly hurling abuses at Bollywood Biggies and are also demanding for a CBI investigation.
The Mumbai police are leaving no stones unturned to get to the crux of the matter, they are investigating all probable reasons from professional rivalry to Sushant’s clinical depression which could have driven him to take the extreme step.
It was on the 17th July, ’20 that Kersi Chavda’s [the actor’s psychiatrist] statement was recorded by the Bandra police.
After Rhea Chakraborty appealed to the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah for a CBI investigation, Maharashtra Home Minister Mr Anil Deshmukh told the media that no CBI investigation was necessary as the Mumbai police was more than enough and that they are doing their best to get to the root cause.
