Junooniyat Trailer Is Like An Old Story In A New Box

Junooniyat has been in the limelight for quite some time, thanks to the alleged affair between the lead actors Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam. The chemistry between the two is incredible, as has been see in their earlier movie together Sanam Re.

The trailer exploits the sizzling chemistry that Pulkit and Yami shares. The two look fabulous together, complementing each other.  And the breath taking landscape of Kashmir of Punjab offer the perfect setting to the love story between an army man and a chulbuli, bubbly chirpy girl. 

But then what disappointed us the most was the fact that there is nothing beyond the screen presence of the lead and the setting. The story seems to be all the same- guy meets girl, falls in love, there is nok-jhonk, a stupid apology letter too, some drinking, singing, dancing, playing holi, then a definition of love that the actors would give. And finally the lovebirds would separate! The guy would make that stern face and the girl would would cry and throw things and shout her lungs out!

Yami as the bubbly Suhani seemed to be overdoing it a little. And Pulkit is so busy concentrating on lady love that he does not  prove convincing as a Captain of the Indian Army. The dialogues sounded  lame. Example- Pagal Haathi aur drunk ladki se haar maan ne mein kya harz hai? Yes, you read that right! 

However the music was nice and refreshing!

P.S- The movie is releasing on 24th June and would be clashing with Raman Raghav 2.0! Only time will prove if this decision was right for the box office collection of the movie!
