South Korean Celebrities Who Have Starred In Hollywood Movies

Crossing the major language barriers, these celebrities gave incredible performances with their presence in the Hollywood movies.
Rain

South Korean actor, singer, songwriter, and music producer Jung Ji Hoon, known by his stage name Rain made his Hollywood debut in 2008. He starred in the film ‘Speed Racer’ and ‘Ninja Assassin’. Ninja Assassin won him an MTV award making him the first Korean to win an MTV award.
Rain also played the character Mark in 2014 American thriller film ‘The Prince’.
Daniel Henney

Korean-American actor and model Daniel Henney was starred as Agent Zero in the American superhero film ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’. He was also in American medical drama ‘Three Rivers’. Daniel also played Tadashi Hamada in ‘Big Hero 6’. Daniel Henney has also worked in many American TV series and films like ‘The Last Stand’, ‘Shanghai Calling’, ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’.
Henney starred as a Special Agent in American TV series ‘Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders’. He has joined ‘Criminal Minds’ as a series regular for season 13.

South Korean actor and singer Lee Joon Gi made his Hollywood debut in the final installment of the Resident Evil series ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’. He played the character of Commander Chu and was highly appreciated by his co-actors for his acting and martial arts.
Lee Byung Hun

South Korean actor, singer, and model Lee Byun Hun made his Hollywood debut in ‘G.l. Joe: The Rise of Cobra’ and was recognized for his role as Storm Shadow and also in its sequel ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’. He was also in ‘RED 2’, ‘Terminator Genisys’, ‘Misconduct’ and ‘The Magnificent Seven’. Lee presented an Oscar at the annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles becoming the first South Korean actor to do so. Lee Byun Hun along with Ahn Sung-Gi became the first Korean actors to imprint their hand and footprints on the forecourt of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles in 2012.
Ki Hong Lee

Korean-American actor Ki Hong Lee made his full-length debut in a two-part film adaptation of Yellowface. He is famous for his character ‘Minho’ in ‘Maze Runner film series’, American dystopian science fiction action thriller film which was also his feature film debut.
Ki Hong Lee also appeared in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. He has also starred in many other American films and TV series and also a number of short films.
Not only these but there are a number of other South Korean celebrities who worked hard got their chance to work in Hollywood movies and there are many more who are about to debut soon.
