Watch: Sonchiriya Trailer Promises A Genuine Dacoit Drama But Has Too Much In A Short Time Frame!
Updated : January 07, 2019 11:28 AM ISTIt has been a while since Bollywood had given a good dacoit drama. The genre seems to be going off the vogue and after Paan Singh Tomar, we hardly had any dacoit drama film that could win the hearts of the people. In fact, even Paan Singh Tomar, which was both a biography and a dacoit drama, was meant for a very niche audience.
Now with content getting a heads up over the star power, Abhishek Chaubey's Sonchiriya might rewrite how we see Dacoit dramas. The trailer does promise a genuine film of the genre, devoid of any pretense, but it is yet to be seen if the film would actually win hearts because the trailer tries to put too much in a short frame of time and that actually makes it look quite jumbled up.
The film is made by Abhishek Chaubey who has made earthy films the new cool. Be it Ishqiya or Udta Punjab, this man has proved his mettle when it comes to his writing and direction. This time, he has also teamed up with terrific talents like Manoj Bajpayee, Ranveer Shorey, Ashutosh Rana and also Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar. So the outcome can be really good.
From the trailer, it looks like all the cast members have actually nailed the look and the feel of the characters. Their accent does not sound forced. Moreover, they seemed to have gotten to the skin of the character.
But what looks the same is the story of Daaku v/s the government and fight within the team. We really hope that the film will have more to offer.
Well, the dialogues are good and so is the music. We are hoping a lot more gripping story in the film that we saw in the trailer. Check the trailer here:
