Baar Baar Dekho Music Review: A Jukebox That Finally Ends The Drought Of Good Music In 2016!
Updated : August 03, 2016 06:22 PM ISTThe trailer of Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif starrer Baar Baar Dekho is out and already winning hearts. As a surprise for fans, the audio jukebox of Baar Baar Dekho is out on Zee Music Company, and we tuned into it for a good half an hour to refresh our playlist after a long drought.
Here’s what we think about the tracks:
Kho Gaye Hum Kahan
Kho Gaye Hum Kahan sounds like a slow kill. All people who have a rather contemporary taste in music will love this track. It has a certain hope and pain infused in the lyrics and the subtle guitar and piano just make it more addictive. We don’t know how it’s going to look, but it gives you a certain pale imagery in mind as you listen to it.
Sau Aasmaan
Ok this is Katrina’s favourite song in the movie, and it’s catchy. But unless we see the video, we can’t really say if we’ll love this one. This song doesn’t offer an unheard melody, but because it’s creating buzz already, all we need to do is WATCH it.
Nachde Ne Saare
“Munde plenty mere liye hogaye senti”, the cool lyrics of this peppy Punjabi wedding number will be played at every wedding this season. Just to point out for all Gutthi aka Sunil Grover fans, this song has excerpts of “Aaloo bade karare…”. The rather unconventional sounding yet a typical Punjabi number reminds us a little of Daigad Daigad from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The song which is also a part of the trailer looks visually promising as well!
Teri Khair Mangdi
The music of this track is class apart and fresh enough to easily make you loop it for a good long time. You can certainly expect it to be the ‘Break Up/Sad song of the year’ like Agar Tum Saath Ho was in 2015. Bilal Saeed’s lyrics, music and entire ensemble are worth all the appreciation it’s going to garner!
Kala Chashma
Need we say anything? It is a chartbuster!
Verdict: Baar Baar Dekho’s jukebox has something for every music lover, thanks to the countless composers, singers and lyricists involved in this rather unconventional yet promising album.
We loved Nachde Ne Saare, Teri Khair Mangdi and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan the most!
